CYSCOE marks the bilingual publication of “Artificial Intelligence & The Manipulation of Human Perception” under the ADA Program

The Cyber Security Cluster of Excellence (CYSCOE) welcomes the publication, in both English and Romanian, of the educational guide “Artificial Intelligence & The Manipulation of Human Perception,” developed within the ADA educational program: “Analyze – Decide – Act.”

We congratulate the authors, Mircea Constantin Șcheau and Alexandru Ciprian Angheluș. both members of the CYSCOE community, for delivering a timely, professional, and actionable contribution to public understanding of AI-enabled influence and manipulation.

This publication was developed through a strong collaborative effort involving key partners and contributors, including Cloud Security Alliance Romania Official (a chapter of theCloud Security Alliance), together with experts from the National Cyberint Center of the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI), the Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania Romanian Police. CYSCOE acknowledges and appreciates the expertise and institutional support that helped shape this work into a credible and practical resource.

As an official partner of the ADA program, CYSCOE supports initiatives that translate complex and fast-evolving risks into accessible guidance. The guide highlights how modern AI capabilities, such as synthetic media, algorithmic amplification, and scalable persuasion, can distort perception and decision-making, while also emphasizing concrete measures for prevention: critical thinking routines, verification discipline, and safer digital behavior.

CYSCOE encourages institutions, educators, professionals, and the broader public to engage with this resource and use it as a foundation for awareness, training, and resilience-building.

Congratulations to the authors and all partners involved in delivering this important publication.
