The #CYRESRANGE Train-the-Trainer Workshop – “Building public sector capacity for large-scale cybersecurity exercises”, @ #BCC2025, brought together experts from academia, public institutions, and the private sector to discuss how to strengthen Europe’s cyber resilience through realistic training and collaboration.

🔎 Speakers & highlights:
🎤 Gabriel Raicu, Rector of the Constanta Maritime University, presented the project’s main objectives, from interconnecting cyber ranges across the EU to developing an innovative self-assessment engine for #cybersecurity skills.
🎤 Mirabela SĂVULESCU, Expert in Legal Policies and Cybersecurity Standardization at The Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate, emphasized the importance of CYRESRANGE in supporting the goals set by the #NIS2 Directive.
🎤 Alexandru Georgescu, Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resiliece representing The National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, shared the institutional benefits of the project, including enhanced resilience and readiness through structured methodologies.
🎤 Bogdan George Carpp, Programs Manager representing BIT SENTINEL and CyberEDU, showcased the technical implementation behind CYRESRANGE. He explained how CyberEDU’s capabilities are leveraged to support the project’s objectives and how events and activities such as CyDEx,DefCamp Capture the Flag, #UNbreakableRomania, and the Romanian Cybersecurity Olympiad #OSC are proof of its effectiveness in large-scale, applied cybersecurity exercises.
