CYSCOE at “Outlook on Resilience: Space Challenges” – Engaging in the Cyber and Space Security Dialogue

CYSCOE’s participation in the international conference “Outlook on Resilience: Space Challenges,” held on June 12, 2025, at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, reflects the cluster’s growing interest in the evolving field of cyber and space security. Represented by Daniel Leu, a seasoned expert in cyber resilience, CYSCOE took part in strategic discussions addressing the increasingly complex intersection between outer space operations and digital security

Organized by the Euro‑Atlantic Resilience Centre (E-ARC), the event brought together stakeholders from the defense sector, the space industry, government institutions, and academia. With a central theme focused on resilience in the face of emerging space challenges, the conference provided a timely platform for addressing the cybersecurity threats that modern space infrastructure—such as satellites, navigation systems, and space-based communications—now faces.

CYSCOE’s presence at this event underscores its evolution from a regional cybersecurity cluster into a strategic contributor to the global resilience ecosystem, known for bringing together public institutions, private companies, and academic bodies. Through ongoing efforts in education, capacity building, and solution development, CYSCOE remains committed to enhancing cyber readiness across key infrastructure domains.

This participation also reinforces Romania’s role as a relevant actor in global discussions surrounding the protection of digital and space frontiers. The involvement of CYSCOE’s experts in high-level international events demonstrates a clear commitment to the strategic objectives of NATO, the EU, and other international partners, especially in the context of collective security and resilience.
