CYSCOE at Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference 2024 – Advancing European Cyber Resilience and Collaboration

Between October 29–31, 2024, the Cyber Security Cluster of Excellence (CYSCOE) was proudly represented by its President, Alexandru Anghelus, at the prestigious Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference 2024. The event brought together leading cybersecurity professionals, policymakers, and experts from across Europe to explore the latest challenges, strategies, and frameworks driving digital security.

CYSCOE actively participated in both the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) Cybersecurity Conference and the ENISA “Cybersecurity Resilience & Market” Forum, contributing a national and regional perspective to high-level discussions shaping the future of cybersecurity in Europe.

🔍 CYSCOE’s Strategic Contributions

Representing both CYSCOE and its national ecosystem, Alexandru Anghelus joined impactful roundtables alongside top leaders including Dan Cimpean, Director of DNSC, and representatives from ENISA and the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC). Key themes addressed included:

  • Implementation of Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD) in Romania;
  • Enhancing cyber resilience in critical industries such as maritime and healthcare;
  • Risk management for digital infrastructure operations;
  • Aligning national strategies with the NIS2 Directive and Cyber Resilience Act.

CYSCOE reaffirmed its mission to foster cross-sectoral cooperation, skills development, and cybersecurity capacity building in Romania and Southeastern Europe. The cluster plays an essential role in:
